HOW TO SPEAK IN PUBLIC 101  Know your audience.  Find out if they want you to speak on a particular topic.  Find out how long they expect you to speak.  Look at them, not over their heads.  Start with a joke or an attention-getting statement or question.  (1)  Tell them what you're going to tell them.  (2)  Tell them.  (3)  Tell them what you just told them.  If you intend to end with a question and answer session, have a few questions ready in case they have none.

Oxtail is the tail of a cow.  In olden days, it came from the tail of an ox, but now it comes from the tail of a cow of either sex.  The tail is skinned and cut into sections; each section has a tailbone with some marrow in the center, and a bony portion of meat surrounding the tail.  The meat is gelatinous, and is best used for stocks, soups, and braises.  It’s common in Italian and Korean cuisine to see oxtail used as an ingredient.  Oxtail requires a long time to cook since it’s so bony and fatty; this is the perfect braising meat.  Kathryn Hill  Link to recipes at

The conversation heart candies—which feature little romantic sayings such as “Be Mine” and “Marry me”—will no longer reach the shelves since its parent company, Necco, went out of business in 2018 according to The Boston Globe.  There are some competitors out there that release conversation candies, so you’ll still see the candy type on the shelves.  It just won’t be the SweetHearts, specifically.  https://www.deseretnews.com/article/900052060/why-you-wont-see-sweethearts-conversation-candies-necco-hearts-in-stores-this-valentines-day-2019.html

Buffalo Wild Wings will offer its guests free chicken wings if the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams need overtime to determine the Super Bowl winner, the sports bar chain’s parent company, Inspire Brands, announced January 23, 2019.  Buffalo Wild Wings’ promotion follows its long tradition of boasting of its ability to influence the outcome of games by sending them to overtime.  Only one of previous 52 Super Bowls went to overtime:  Super Bowl LI, which the New England Patriots won over the Atlanta Falcons in 2017.   Buffalo Wild Wings will make good on its Super Bowl promise between 4 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 18, 2019 by giving all comers a free order of snack-sized wings.  https://nesn.com/2019/01/super-bowl-liii-free-buffalo-wild-wings-for-america-if-this-score-happens/
